Verified Accessibility

We believe that accessibility is more than just a box to check – it’s a commitment to creating spaces where everyone truly feels welcome. Too often, businesses claim to be accessible without fully understanding what that means.

That’s why we personally verify accessibility standards through in-person and virtual evaluations, ensuring businesses in our directory meet real, measurable criteria. If a business doesn't quite meet the qualifications we have the ability to help them bridge the gap.

Our mission is to make inclusion the standard, not the exception, by building a community of businesses that value accessibility as much as we do.

About Patrick, The Story Behind Accessibly Yours

For over a decade, I thrived in the hospitality industry—primarily as a bartender—where I found joy in the fast-paced environment, the camaraderie, and the ability to create memorable experiences for guests. I loved the work, the people, and the sense of community that came with it.

Then, in a matter of seconds, everything changed. A car accident left me with a disability that made it impossible to continue bartending or performing the physically demanding tasks I had once done with ease. No longer able to stand for long shifts or lift heavy items like kegs, I was forced to navigate an industry I loved from a perspective I never anticipated.

As someone who has always been active in sports and physically demanding activities, adapting to these changes was a challenge. But through this experience, I realized something critical: anyone can become disabled at any point in life. Disability does not discriminate—it doesn’t care where you’re from, who you are, or what you look like. And yet, so many businesses remain inaccessible, not out of malice, but because accessibility is often an afterthought rather than a standard.

I’m a proud trans man from Colorado, and I love this industry. That’s why I founded Accessibly Yours—to help hospitality businesses go beyond basic compliance and create truly inclusive, welcoming spaces for everyone. This is about more than just physical access; it’s about fostering an industry that values every guest and employee, regardless of ability.

This is just the beginning. Together, we can build a new standard for accessibility and inclusion in hospitality—one that shows the importance of diversity and thrives through the contributions of all people. Because when accessibility is prioritized, everyone wins.
